This home was staged 3 months ago and did have some challenges. It was a higher priced property, on a busy street, and had a poorly updated master bath. It was agreed upon that the master bath did not match up with the price of the home, so it was remodeled. After all was said and done, the home sold. So...the furniture in the Before Staging picture was blocking the fireplace? Hmmm, I think you are on to something by moving the furniture! LOL> great job as always.
I love the sofas lined up in a row! It looks like a bachelor's house to me... What a great improvement you made and it looks so warm. No wonder it sold!
PLEASE tell me that those sofas weren't lined up like that all the time and blocking the fireplace! Great work as usual, Todd.
So.. Here is the entry... These before photos are honestly how they lived....
Peg: The furniture was actually lined up on both sides of the living room..
Kathy: This is how the family lived in their home.
Diana: Gotta' get it while the fire is hot....
You did superb. It's funny that some people just can't see how to position furniture when it comes so easy to us. Great job again. Congratultions.
Chrissie: I think that people sometimes don't know what to do with the furniture, so it just works lined-up around the room. I normally find furniture lined up around the room, but rarely blocking the fireplace...
So Todd, how did you explain to them that their furniture placement was the pits LOL without insulting them? I usually try to tell them that staging changes the focus of the decorating.
Hi Todd, great work as usual. I call the furniture lined up around the wall the Thomas the Train syndrome. Everything all linked together in a line around the room.
Janice: Their agent told them the bad news about the arrangement of the furniture, so it was an easy sell...
Michelle: Good analogy about Thomas the Train... Talk about making a room feel small.....
