Sticking With The Triathlon

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Properties
My name is Sal Poliandro. I am a Realtor (and proud of it). I committed to run a "mini" triathlon in April of 2006. Well, the day is approaching. Here is the course.  The countdown has begun! Well it's been going since I started on this. Here is an update for anyone who may be interested. I am able (as of June 1, 2007) to swim my 1/2 mile in about 24 minutes. I can ride the 17 miles on my bike in about 1 hour and 15 minutes. I am also able to run the 5 miles in 1 hour and 10 minutes. By my calculations I should be finishing this thing in around 3 hours. I have no idea (since this will be my 1st triathlon) how long it will take to remove my wet suit or find my bike for that matter. The overall point is that a year ago I couldn't do any of these events, now I am able to do all 3. If any of you are in the New Jersey area on June 16th I should be crossing the finish line around 10am. Hope to see you there. Remember: I may not be going fast but I am going forward. A life lesson for Real Estate as well. Like the great movie Finding Nemo reminds us "Just Keep Swimming!"

Sal, good luck. I think it's great that you are able to make time to stay fit. Next stop, Kona?
