WA Statewide Open House -- Homes for Sale !

SEATTLE KingCounty REALTORS® along with REALTORS® all over Washington State are getting ready for the first ever "Statewide Open House Weekend (June 27-28)", this weekend!

Promotion of this program is taking place through radio, television and newspaper coverage all across Washington state. Watch for the REALTOR Blue Balloons on Saturday and Sunday, June 27-28th.

Buyers: Get off the Fence and into the game!

Listen for Radio Coverage of the Event:

Radio spots promoting this weekend will air in King/Snohomish/Pierce counties.

KPLZ FM - M-F: 5A-10A, 7P-10P; SA: 10A-3P
KRWM FM - M-F:6A-7P, 6A-12m; SA: 10A-3P
KQMV FM - M-F: 6A-7P, 6A-12m; SA: 10A-3P

Television Coverage

KING (Channel 5) will run related coverage on Friday morning . Then the story will rotate on the Northwest News Channel.

KOMO TV will be interviewing REALTORS and showing their open house properties in the Seattle area. These will appear as part of a news feature highlighting the open house weekend.

In Port Angeles we had some great responses. One house had over 60 groups through, but the average was 5-6 buyer groups. One third of our agents held open houses--pretty great work.

One lender went through the tour and learned that the market is declining in spite of what he (she?) had thought. Very interesting. What will that mean for our sales?

At least two sales have resulted from the 65 open houses. I will know more after our meeting tomorrow.

I'd have to say it was a huge success. Buyers learned a lot and appreciated being able to tour the market. Future sellers had an eye-opening experience. I learned from buyers that some homes didn't measure up in terms of condition. I also learned that some listing agents didn't represent the sellers very well.

All in all, it was fantastic.

Pili, That is an awesome turn out! 2 sales... considering many visitors to Open Houses are the neighbors (and we love them, you never know if they have already know someone waiting to buy) 2 sales is awesome! Buyers live Open Houses! Congratulations on your fantastic weekend!
