Man, am I bummed. My boy, MJ (I still call Michael Jordan MJ too) died unexpectedly today. First thought is that it was heart disease, but who knows so soon. He was the king of wierd, but I gotta tell you he was truly the king of pop. I used to be a DJ at the number one college radio station in the nation, back in my college days. I would only say that Michael was "da man." I really think that his family used him in ways that parents shouldn't use a kid. It was probably the precipitating factor to his wierdness. But as far as music goes....there was none more creative.
Fred Astaire said that Michael Jackson was the best dancer of all time. I'd go so far as to say that the choreography of today came as a result of the choreography of his videos starting with the Thriller album. Here's to the King of Pop. I was looking forward to your next tour and you'll be missed. You added a lot to our culture. You may be as wierd as they get, but your entertainment and music will never be beat
