Want to know more about mold and your home?

Managing Real Estate Broker with Flexit Realty "Flexible Home Selling Solutions"

Mold is with us and nearly in every building or home.

The significance and amount of mold is another story.  Mold prevention is almost impossible.  That said, preventing mold build-up is very possible.  Remember mold likes moisture.  Remove the moisture source and it is likely that you mold will never form.

Sound so simple until you have mold.

Click on the link below for an article on mold.  It will help you understand more about the mold issues you could face.  Once mold has been allowed to progress to advanced stages it will have to be dealt with professionally.  Most home owners will not have the skill or tools to deal with molds.

Mold spores can cause irritation of the lungs, infections and my even require physician care.

Hi Gary!  It used to be that the inner city area didn't have the problems that our outlying lake areas have with mold but, it has become more pronounced everywhere.  The key is prevention, as you said, and the remedies, once you've GOT it, can be painful--but, CAN be done!  Recent media attention has buyers running if the mention of mold is produced in the inspection--irregardless of the type, they flee!

Great information, as always, Gary!

Gary, thanks for the clear picture. You would think that mold just came about, the way people are about it. I will be reblogging this.

Mold needs to eat and drink just like any living other organism... take away the water and the cellulose it cannot grow. We hear more about it as a concern of home buyer than ever before. It is a hot topic today.
