This past weekend we had a family reunion, now that's no big deal except there were people that came from both coasts, parts of the mid west, and of course our own locality. My aunts and uncles I see once and awhile but there were cousins that I haven't seen for 15 to 20 years. Some of these cousins stayed at our house in the summer time when we were growing up, so we became fairly close. It was fun to visit about the fun things that we did, an get reminded of some of the things that we had forgotten about. When you think about it, it seems just like yesterday and we all were young and care free.
As I sat and looked around the room you couldn't help but notice that some of the people were missing as a few had passed on over the course of the year, and next time I assume there will be others. Reunions are getting fewer and fewer as the older generation passes on. Its still fun to visit and reminisce, and see all the cousins that we don't see very often an catch up on what is going on in their lives. We now have become our parents even though we don't act like it. Where did the time go? Memories are the one thing you can't take away from some body, Thanks for making the long trips and for all the memories.
