Here in Austin, with as hot as its been already in June, you would think that the Fourth of July has already come and gone and the end of summer is near, but the Fourth of July is this weekend. If you have'nt made your plans yet here is a list of events happening in the Central Texas area.(Compiled by Allison Craig, Gracy Title, Cedar Park. Thank you) The main event features the Austin Symphony at Auditorium Shores, sponsored by H.E.B. grocery stores. The past few years we have parked on top of the Whole foods parking garage, turn on the radio, Majic 95.5 I think, simulcasting the symphony and watch the fireworks. However last year with new apartment highrise, the view was slightly restricted, but could still see fairly well. This year we may try the parking garage next door to see if that view is a little less obstructed. Either way I am sure it will be a great time as always. If you live outside of the city and don't want to drive into Austin, most every town has some kind of event that should satisfy your holiday needs.
Please have a SAFE and Happy Fourth of July.
