Why Chicken Little was Right.... The Sky Fell

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Homes By Cross, Inc.

When Real Estate prices were rising at incredible rates in the past market, many people considered that property values were on par with “the sky is the limit”

Fortunately for today’s buyers the sky has fallen. Sellers have my condolences.

So technically Chicken Little was right concerning Real Estate. Or was She???

Markets are generally cyclically based. So if the sky falls, it eventually rises.

Just like the sun and the moon.

So how do you time the market to make your best move? You don’t, but Now is a terrific time to buy.

Most people buy homes because they have a basic need for shelter to match their lifestyle.

How do you choose the best time to jump into the market? When is the best time to buy a house? When do I jump out of my rental and into a house?

 I can answer that very clearly….NOW !

Check historical data on interest rates for mortgages. See how today’s 30 year rates are at all time lows.

Now check homes prices. We are bouncing off the bottom of an incredibly tough market.

 And the cycle begins again.

Point is for all you tire kickers and fence sitters, Chicken Little was right about urgency. The boat of dream deals is getting ready to leave the dock. The $8k tax credit is beginning to sail.

Where is your ticket to this cruise? Did you make a reservation? It’s not too late

But Chicken Little was right. Your time is running out

Well said, Claude!  A great time to buy does not have to be the absolute best time to buy.  Good is good!

Claude,

When people are panicking and selling-BUY. When people are buying-SELL! It's a no-brainer.

Our market is seeing more and more traffic and there is a strong increase in new home sales. A lot of people are coming out to cash in on that $8,000 before it goes away.

Providing the very best of service to Sellers and

Claude, you are so right.  The next few months represent the "buying opportunity of the Century", not just for first-timers but for anyone with the bucks or the available credit to take advantage.  Great post.

The sky was literally falling. LOL Thanks for stopping by and for your concern. It was a scary and restless night looking at the sky.
