Services for Real Estate Pros with InSite Virtual Tours

I'm wondering the expense and the success you've seen in using the showcase feature in realtor.com

If I understand correctly... realtor.com automatically uploads all MLS listings with one photo, and the charge to upload a virtual tour is $22.95. If you have the showcase feature, you get 6 pictures and free uploads of virtual tours. Feel free to correct me if I'm mistaken on this.

I'd like to promote this more to agents who I create virtual tours for, but am wondering what agents, in general, think about it.

A necessary evil I suppose the visual tour listings go to the top, and then the ones with most pictures so if you want pop up early you pay to play here.

I don't know how it works for everyone, but I think this site looks too clutered and hard to navigate...

Becky,

Good luck getting helpful feedback. You'll usually get 3 types of totally unhelpful responses when the name Realtor.com comes up.

1. Mostly you won't get many responses (when asking for "valuable" feedback)

2. People who claim to use Realtor.com will "claim" it doesn't work or it's a neccessary "evil" like Teri implies, even though they continue to pay to use it each month, because it's helping them (why would she continue using it?).

3. Agents like Natalia will act like they've never heard of Realtor.com, a site that get's over 6 million visitors a month, tops in the nation and is owned by the NAR, the Realtor trade organization Realtors are a member of (maybe she's not a Realtor and maybe she doesn't know that so many people look for homes on Realtor.com)

I've found that a lot of agents simply don't want other agents to know what's really working for them. That's ususally the reason behind these responses. HINT: Either trash what works for you or remain silent.

Hi Becky,

Im also a virtual tour provider, i have called realtor.com numerous times to understand how the pricing works and they havent been very helpfull.

What you wrote is what i have been able to gather aswell.

We also provide realtors with comprehensive statistics on the hits their virtual tours get aswell as what websites these hits come from.

From what i have seen Tours on Realtor.com do get quite a bit of hits.
