From the bay and inland, including the San Diego County Fair, there is so much to see and do, right here in our own back yard. Pick one, and take in the show! My personal favorite is the synchronized fireworks on four barges right in San Diego Bay, a chili dog and a root beer (gotta do it once a year, right?).

Marvin--We plan to participate in the Flagship Niagara Boater's Parade on Presque Ise. It will be led by the Brig Niagara which is replica of Oliver Hazard Perry's flagship in the Battle of Lake Erie in 1813. The ships used in that battle were built in Erie. After the battle the ships wintered in small bay on the Presque Isle Peninsula.

Have fun on the 4th.

That sounds like a blast, pardon the pun...the USS Midway is permanently anchored here in San Diego Bay. It would be great to sit on the flight deck and watch fireworks from there but there are so many great vantage points all over town, we can't lose. I love it here!

Sounds like our plan, but we will be on the US'N TWO (how's that for nostaglia?) and then go below to the berth for the night. Beats fighting the traffic after the fireworks. If I get good pics I will post them. Have fun yourself!!!!!!!!!
