It's been a good week for me. I've met or talked with 7 banker about helping sell their REO assets - at public auction, of course.
I will be doing 9 real estate auctions in July and it looks like more are coming in August.
I still find myself having to fight the urge to laugh at the people who come to my property previews - simply because they want to beat me up on the condition of the property. Of course I know there are holes in the walls, the carpet smells, the roof leaks, the basement is damp, it has termites, etc. My experience is that the person who gripes the loudest about such condition issues is generally the final bidder on auction day - they are just trying to fake out the competition by pointing out all of the negative attributes of the real estate. I've heard it all in my years of selling real estate at auction.
