Yahoo...Home Staging Is On A Roll In Northwest Arkansas!

Mortgage and Lending with Liberty Bank of Arkansas

A little over a year ago I was here on AR asking questions and advice on how to get my name out and grow my business. I was so busy in the month of June that I didn't even have time to think about how many homes I was working on. I stopped last night to make a count. Ready, Set, Stage! worked on 9 homes in Northwest Arkansas last month, and we have two more scheduled for next week! It looks like Home Staging is on a roll in Northwest Arkansas!

It's funny but when I first started I was only getting calls for vacant homes, that has now shifted. Out of the 9 homes only one was a vacant, the remaining have been owner occupied. Three of those homes have been from homeowners being transferred to other states. Being Walmart country and having several Walmart vendors, transfers are very common for our area. Maybe I've found a niche!

Yes -- you have a niche!  Make an appointment if you can with the personnel director at Wal-mart to give them brochures regarding your services.  Also see if the use a particular re-location company for moving employees.  And see if they can give you contacts and introductions to any of their vendors in the area.

You go girl!

That is great, Donna!  It does take time to build a referral network and it sounds like yours is really starting to take off!  When we first started our business about 5 years ago, we had lots of requests for occupied staging.  Now it's about 95% vacant.

You should go to Wal-Mart and ask them about referring you to thier reloc clients.  I see Karen agrees!

That's great news! Hopefully this is the start of the Staging trend and will be a permanent plan of action for all Realtors and sellers. 3 Cheers.

That's great to hear because I am just up the road in Joplin, MO!  I'm getting ready to market my business.  I hope it takes off as well as yours has.  Congrats!  As a former HR person, I would definitely try to capitalize on the Wal-mart relocations.  Good luck to you!
