We see constantly rising prices on the top echelon of luxury homes. It's no wonder, seeing that Forbes 400 Richest in America are now ALL billionaires! The state with the largest concentration is California, which matches the largest concentration of luxury homes. The list is topped by Bill Gates and Warren Buffett, both of whom have made news for their philanthropy. Third is Sheldon Adelson who owns several casinos, including one in Macao. He makes $1 million an hour - he could have a million dollar home for every day of the year...and use only about two weeks of income.
Google continues to grow and amaze us with their products, and "google" has entered our vocabulary as we comment about needing to google someone. It's founders, Sergey Brin and Larry Page make a paltry $13 million dollars per day.
If the Millionaire Next Door is living in a modest home with modest habits, maybe it's the billionaires we need to target with our super luxury properties.
