New Castle residents prepare to enjoy the annual street fair on the downtown corridor, regardless of severe weather warnings.

Early afternoon was the perfect time to take photos of the vendors, before the evening cools, and the crowds descend on on the
activities and food featured at this years festival. Although the gentle breeze took the edge off the high humidity and high
temperature it certainly was an afternoon for the brave at heart
This evening with the promise of a fireworks display will bring hundreds of people to help celebrate the" New Castle Street Fair "
A short walk around the block " Mary Mother of Hope Parish " added to the festivities with it's yearly " Summer fest "
Volunteer members of the parish dedicated to the event, spent months of planning, weeks of preparing food and many dedicated
volunteers gathered together accomplish again, another successful Summer fest. Adult and children alike were not only enjoyed
ethnic and traditional foods but also were entertained with festivities, board games, music and entertainment. If you missed it this
year, be sure to come next year. It certainly is one of New Castle's popular events of the summer.
