Ok so today is the official demolition START day for our Mid-Century Modern Flip.  I found a fabulous deal in (drum-roll please) - THE COOLEST NEIGHBORHOOD IN ALL OF ATLANTA -NORTHCREST Whoo-hooo! It was originally built in 1962 and is located in the heart of the neighborhood on a nice size lot. It has all the important ingredients and is the IDEAL MID-CENTURY MODERN Rehab (minus the cat hair and cat poop).

4 bed 3 bath. Split level california contemporary with the Tongue and Groove Pine ceilings (in EXCELLENT SHAPE). There is glorious mustard shag carpet that smells like cat pee - (pause) - wait, it's not shag carpet, it's regular carpet with massive amounts of cat hair... silly me. Why would they leave their baby stroller behind? you might wonder... no that isn't the baby stroller, that is the cat stroller for long summer night walks. Cats must be pushed only dogs wear leashes.

Today is the first day of the documentary. Our main mission was to assess the current situation and decide how many dumpsters we would need to rent in order to clean this extremely hairy home. These pictures are rated PG-13 If you come back tomorrow or the next day you might see the really good stuff.... It's a dirty Job but someone's got to do it (I'm not referring to myself of course) Billy plans on being the muscle behind this demolition but in all honesty we know he will probably make it 2-3 hours then end up hiring some burly, flannel clad men that he happens to run into standing outside of Home Depot.

VIVA LA RENOVATION!!

I would so much love to forward this to a listing client who doesn't seem to think that pet stains are a big detractor....

Just looking at the stained carpet makes you wonder why they let the kids play there.

Great post, Amy! One of my 2 cats (both neutered males) had taken to painting all of my walls, furniture, and anything else he could reach. I was horrified when I got a UV light. He never did that in all of the 9 years I've had him and didn't when I got him a buddy (they love each other and did so right away) but when a strange black cat started showing up outside both of my cats went nuts and the older one (9) started his wall painting, as well as the curtains out in the kitty room. I couldn't keep up with it.

My cats are indoor cats so it's not like the stray is actually going to get in here but they both hate him (and he is weird...my neighbor's cats hate him too). I've tried cleaning with a pet urine enzyme and then spraying some "No More Spraying" but that hasn't worked.

He's a sneaky little bugger too; he waits until he thinks I'm not looking and then does it. He's learned that the minute I see him backing his butt up to something he gets yelled at. It wasn't until I found "Cat Spraying No More" that I was able to finally get rid of this tiresome behavior. Now my house doesn't smell like a litter box anymore :)

Here's a link the their site if you're interested in checking it out, I highly recommend this: NoMoreCatPee.com
