Robert Trent Jones Course is an 18 hole, regulation golf course located at the Rock Barn Golf and Spa facility in Conover, NC. The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., ASGCA and opened in 1998.
Robert Trent Jones Jr. has designed more than 230 golf courses in over 40 countries over the last forty years. The Trent Jones golf courses have won countless awards and accolades, been ranked among the best layouts throughout the world, and hosted tournaments on most major golf tours. Robert Trent Jones is known as the father of environmental golf course design. He seeks to respect and preserve the natural assets of the land.
This course at Rock Barn was designed to fit the course to the site without disturbing the natural surroundings of the land. The elevation changes and incredible surroundings give the course dramatic character.
From the longest tees it offers 7,125 yards of golf for a par of 72. This championship layout features 4 sets of tee boxes for the enjoyment of golfers of all skill levels.
The Golf Course at Rock Barn Golf and Spa has an estimated number of 45,000 rounds played annually and it is a 36-hole Semi-Private course. Since 2003 it hosted the PGA Champions Tour's Greater Hickory Classic.
