Not long ago a reader of one of my blogs asked if I was successful....since I dole out so much advice. The answer to that question is YES!! It's of no value doling out advice if you don't personally heed it. Plain fact is....the advice offered in my blogs actually works.
It comes from constant trial and error experiments.
The thing about advice is, it's only of value if you follow it. Too many "Think They Know Better".....or have an "I Don't Need That" attitude. I was once one of these people....and I was failing. Suddenly the light came on and there was a rude awakening that I did NOT know better....and if I wanted to succeed I'd better find a new way of thinking.
You can not shuffle the same five cards over and over and expect a different result. Trust me on this.... You do not know better and you do need to continually evolve.
For me it started with a well thought out, in depth, written business plan, which is updates as conditions change. If you don't have a cracker-jack business plan you'll never achieve the kind of success you want. BELIEVE IT!!! IT TRUE!!
Many readers have told me their work schedule does not leave them time for an hour of "THINK TIME" every evening....but those same people have plenty of time to read and write blogs. YOU NEED TO SPEND ONE SOLID HOUR EVERY DAY IN QUIET THINK TIME PREPARING YOUR NEXT DAY GAME PLAN AND DEVELOPING NEW STRATEGIES FOR SELLING.
Read, Learn, innovate, Change and Adapt are not just words. They're a way of life in this economy and for the next 5 years. If you haven't noticed it yet, the world of yesterday has changed.
Associate with people smarter than you.. Associate with influential people...you're judged by the company you keep. Get heavily involved in your community's events. Look at my previous blogs for ideas and info that will make a difference in your bottom line.
Take a vacation. Some will say they can't afford a vacation....but the reply to that is "you can't afford not to take a vacation." It will clear the cobwebs from your brain, ease your tension and give you a chance to breathe. You'll have an opportunity to put your life in perspective and come back refreshed with a new attitude.
On that note... I'll be on vacation for the next week and a half. Those who have ordered their TailGateTags to this date will have them delivered on time. We request that no more orders be sent in until we return.
