Welcome to the Avon Lake's Park 4 Paws dog park, the first and only dog park in Lorain County. This Dog Park was previously located behind the City's Service Department on Avon Belden Road and was recently moved to make room for expansion of this department. The new dog park location is in a shaded area of a lovely park that provides plenty of recreation opportunities. Visit Park 4 Paws at 33401 Weber Road. It is located to the rear of the large gravel lot. |

does the dogs still have to be on a leash?? thats the whole problem with this world. why have a dog or dog toys when the dog must always be on a leash? i mean the damn government allows murders out and rapists with out putting them on leashs. whats the difference??
and there is no rule that you have to hold the leash, the rule states that all dogs must be kept on a leash, nothing in that damn rule says you must hold the thing... am i right??
anyone have an opinion?

Yes they can be off the leash. and the facility is enclosed in a fence. There is a secondary fence as you walk in to see whether your dog can tolerate the environment before letting him or her in full park area. You have to go there to see for yourself.

Are there separate areas for big dogs and small dogs? I have two small dogs - a chihuahua and a maltese and large dogs have shown aggression to them at dog parks in the past. They love dog parks but in one fell swoop certain breeds could injure them greatly if not worse.
