Not-So-Wordless Wednesday - High Up in the Beartooth Mountains

As mentioned in the 4th post of a series of post on the Beartooth Scenic Byway, You Never Know What You Are Going to Run Across on the Beartooth Pass (check this post for photos of two other nice surprises).  To see the first of the series of posts and/or to read the entire series, click on the following link: Highway to Heaven - Don't Pass this Up!

On our way to Yellowstone along with my brother and nieces on June 28, 2009, this is a photo of the scene that was awaiting us at an elevation of about 10,000 feet near the Red Lodge International Summer Ski and Snowboard Camp.

Now, you don't see these along the way on most highways in the US!  It was a very pleasant surprise to see a herd of them and with lots of young ones.

Hi Gerry ~ Another amazing photo!  The sights you see - wow.  The photos of places all over the country - and even the world - are one of my very favorite parts of AR. What a treat. I can't think of another place where I could be introduced to so much.  Thanks again!!

Liz,

You are welcome.  Thank you for the nice comment.   I also like the virtual traveling thanks to all the photos posted on AR.
