"The Real Estate Book" The Good the Bad and the Truth.

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Sterling Oaks Real Estate Inc. DRE # 01336298

I was thinking of running a full page ad in The Real Estate Book and want some input from my active rain family. Here a few question I'm looking for the answers to.

1. Have you used it.

2. What were your results.

3. How much did you pay for a page.

Please feel free to expand your comments.

Thanks,

I was a dedicated advertiser in the Real Estate Book for five years.  Then they got greedy, wanted a 13 month contract, and raised the price significantly.  It was good exposure but it didn't generate a lot of business for me.  The only calls were on low end stuff.  I have found an internet presence to be much more conducive to generating business.  The "Books" make the sellers happy because they see their homes in print, for business generation, not so much.

Sandra,

Thank you for you comments. When the guy told me about the 13 month contract I had to burst out laughing, 12 month in the year. I did tell him the old time share sales men in me did appreciate the marking tactic, but come on. I had stopped all print ads about 3 years ago and switch everything to the internet. I generate about 50 leads per week online. The book was looking a little thin so I thought I might get some leads and they might cut me a break on the price. The regular price was $420 they would go down to $390 if paid the year in advance, not much of a break. Has any had a positive experience?
