Training

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty Spartanburg, S.C.

I do not think that any agent, no matter how long he or she has been in the business, ever gets to the point that they do not need to attend a training class. We are very lucky in our office to have a number of great teachers that are willing to give of theirself and their time to teach. And I for one am thankful.

things are changing every day, so everyone, even the most seasoned of all agents, need training from time to time.

Our industry is changing on a weekly basis. There is always something new to learn. I believe that we should not only improve our knowledge about our profession, but we should work on our professional skills, such as communication. I am a Toastmaster. Being a member of a Toastmaster club in my area for two years has improved my communication and leadership skills by leaps and bounds. There is no greater feeling of vulnerability than when you stand in front of an audience to speak. Conquering this fear and learning how to communicate without uhmming and ahhhing makes you look like a confident professional.

Absolutely, as long as we learn we will make mistakes. Keeping educated and up to date helps us avoid such mistakes.

Good advice. .a caveat. .learning from people that have limitations themselves will only waste your time. . the quality of the training is paramount.

Hello Jean,

Thank you for the warm welcome and comment. I've fallen in love with AR, and look forward to meeting and learning through the blogs as much as possible!

And you're right! Training and education should be a part of our daily activities - specified time for furthering our impact and value to clients!
