This picture was taken by a friend in Iraq. I couldn't imagine living in that.
wow, thanks for the reminder this morning. I've got my hot coffee, cozy office, and I've had 8 hours of sleep. Our troops our sacrificing so much!
Tina - Hardship and stark reality faces the troops almost every day. Keep them in your thoughts and thanks for sharing the photo.
Tina, it seems surreal doesn't it? I've heard SOME stories from people coming home!
I have lived in that and it's not a picnic, then my son enlisted and was over there for 15 months. The first thing he wanted to do (and me too) when he got back was have a shower (or 2). You have to have a lot of respect for our men and women in uniform and for all then do.
Tina ---- Wow --- thanks for sharing that very real photo --- we need to be reminded often of what these service men and women go through.
I'm with April that it seems so surreal at times. Then you see shots like this and you realize how very real it is. Thank you for the reminder.
The worst part about what you are seeing is what that does to the engines of those things. It isn't like a car where if the engine stops you just pull over, engine stops in that you fall to the ground real fast!
I know the conditions are rediculous in some areas.. there is a group "treats for troops" and it lets you pick the serviceman you want to send something to... and you can pick by living conditions...some of them are pretty bad.
