I have been greatful to this non profit organization for helping me and my wife communicate to our friends and family during my wife's battle with cancer. It is so difficult to make the many phone calls to all our great family members and friends and having to relive the experience one person at a time. Now, we just post the updates online complete with photos and update her Journal when we have something new going on in her treatment or life.

This way, everyone gets the same update and for people that have subscribed, they get an email notice everytime we update her journal or post new photos. Today, we had great news so I was even able to use my Treo 800W PDA (even though we had to turn off the phone portion) to take photos and then used the built in WIFI to upload the photos and update her journal while still in her hospital room!
It also gives us the opportunity to publicly thank all our friends, co-workers, and the great team of doctors, nurses and caregivers we are blessed with here in Boise at the Mountain State Tumor Institute!
When I was helping to craft the "mission statement" for our association of Realtors, I came home and immediately relabled the title our my wife's website her "reMission Statement" since that was our intent was to force her cancer into remission. Most management guru's tell you to put your plans in writing and set goals and objectives, so we have used this website to do just that and it appears to be working!
Having a venue to channel our feelings has helped a lot with the anxiety and our friends all around the country can log in and see my wife's smiling face and know the status before they call so it eliminates the awkward phone calls from well meaning friends too since when they call, they already know how things are going and can focus on just being our friend.
I encourage you to share this tool with anyone who could benefit from it. I know for a fact we have!
