Greene County VA Real Estate Market Report - June 2009

This Greene County VA Real Estate Market Report will focus on the sales of single faimly detached homes in Greene County during June 2009.

27 Greene County VA homes sold during June of 2009.  The average sale price was $237,677, with an average list price of $242,281.  The homes were on the market for an average of 96 days and sold for an average of 98.10% of the list price.

During May 2009, 13 homes sold in Greene County.  The average sale price was $281,230 with an average list price of $286,782 and an average DOM of 78.  They sold for an average of 98.0e6% of the list price.

In April of this year 15 Greene county homes had contracts that closed.  Their average sale price was $261,465 and they had been listed for an average price of $263,185.  The homes were on the market for an average of 117 days and sold for an average of 99.35% of the list price.

if we compare the year to date Greene County home sales in 2008 with the same time period this year, we will see that during the time frame from 1/1/2008-7/1/2008, 98 homes sold.  however during the same time frame in 2009 only 72 homes sold in Greene County.  This represents a decline in sales of -26.5%.

As of 7/19/2009, there are 182 Greene County VA homes for sale.  They are listed for an average of $320,231 and a median of $262,450.  They have been on the market for 135 days so far.
