I have been so busy this fall that sometimes I feel that things start to slip through the cracks and I must admit active rain is adding to by problem - it is so interesting that when I should be making lunches instead here I sit... Blame it on active rain - Anyhow... back to my story.
My oldest daughter just started in kindergarten. We walk to school and she seems to really been enjoying her first year of school. I have been meeting all the moms and talking trying to find out what really going on inside that classroom. Well, I met this really nice Mom whose son sits next to my daughter at school and she was very upset. It seems her son was coming home with all sorts of bad words and said these big kids had been chasing him on the playground and pulled his pants down.
Mothers of kindergarteners DO NOT WANT TO HEAR THIS. Suddenly I became extremely worried, had my addiction to active rain made me neglect my child and the rotten influences there? Did I need to give up real estate and become a full time playground monitor? What evil - lurking- bullies were out there on the playground lying in wait for my baby?
So that I night, after dinner I thought I should try to get to the root of what was really going on on that playground. "Honey, I was talking to Dennis' Mom (names have been changed to protect the innocent) and she said there was some kids pulling down pants on the playground - have you seen anything like this?
My Daughter starts laughing, throwing back her head and howling... "Me and Alex were chasing Dennis..." You can just imagine the rest.
What???? My daughter??? My baby??? Playground Bully!!! And yes - I blame it on you Active Rain.
