I am very proud of my blog onBeaverton, Oregon, real estate and more. My blog www.LivingBeaverton.com is slowly growing in popularity and getting more and more visitors everyday.
You see, if you go to myoutside blog www.LivingBeaverton.com you will see it is exactly what it says it is about. Your guide to everything Beaverton! I post a lot about the community, real estate, and even myfamily.
But, today I think I really hit it big! You see, social media sites such as Twitter are the best way to build an online following. You need to provide quality content and links about your community, but at the same time provide some of your own original content as I do. I could link to others all day long, but that certainly doesn't make me an expert. So today, when I saw another local real estate agency put up a post on Twitter sending them to my blog, I knew I had hit it big.
They just read the title and nothing more, but I had become the expert on the area. They were telling everyone in there sphere that I was the neighborhood Beaverton expert and not there brokerage. Now, what was cool, I started to watch his followers after that and over the next two hours they had gotten no new followers and without me posting a single thing to my blog or to Twitter, I got 20 new followers from the local area.
They had basically taken themselves from being the neighborhood expert and said, “Don’t hire us, hireTodd Clark of Beaverton, Oregon, he is the true neighborhood expert.” So, make sure when you put links to others on Twitter they aren’t your competition, because that is a real quick way to lose business.
But, thank you Activerain, for the outside blog and the knowledge of how to make myself into the neighborhood expert, because without the knowledge I learned here, Imay have just done the same thing this brokerage did.
