OK....here's where I need the 101 help.  I'm really stuck....

  • How do I get color into my text?
  • How do I change the size of my text?
  • How do I add the follow me on Facebook tags for the blogs or on the right side of the page?

Those are my burning questions here.  I know that I've been here quite a bit, but I'm a neophyte when it comes to some of the techy stuff here.  Thanks.....looking for some real basic 101 or point me in the direction for me to find it.  Thanks all.

Larry to add color and size to your text you need to use a different editor then copy and paste it into the HTML side of this editior, save as draft, then change to WYSIWYG and save as Members post or Public Post as normal.  I like the NVu editor... it is free.. Paddy Piddazi (?) wrote a blog on how to use it properly for blogging.  www.nvu.com

Gail gave a good answer. From what I recall you can do it in here if you know the html language, but it is rocket science for most of us. (Go ahead and laugh you nerds). Also I believe Brad wrote a great blog about this a few months back.

Most here that do it use NVU but it doesn't work on the Mac. So that is why I have stopped having pretty posts, I'll park and see if anyone using the Mac has the solution.

Just go get a facebook logo.

Add it to end of your post. Then after the logo is in use the hyperlink button to link to YOUR profile on facebook, twitter or whatever.

There is a WP plugin but doesn't work here.

Larry, thanks for that question as I just downloaded Wordpress this morning and can't even figure out how to open it.  I just downloaded NVU and boom there it is and it seems good.

I've never used the NVU software. I use a PC and a MAC. In some early posts, I would just write my post in Word, add color & text.. then copy/paste to AR or other outside blogs. That trick works for Mac and PC. I dont really do any color in my blog now though. Im actually good with the black and white... with the occasional bold.  I dont think my readers have a preference but I could be wrong.

Larry - Thanks for being brave enough to ask these questions that the rest of us have also.  I agree with Steve that's it's like rocket science to some.  I usually go to my daughter with questions but I don't always understand.

Guys and gals...thanks.  Missy and Gail....I'm all over it.  I tried the HTML thing in the past, but only learned how to insert videos.  This is huge....I'm so in!  Thanks.
