Are you from Georgia?

Hey wait a minute!  "No one here is even from Georgia..." It's safe to say that a good majority of the people living in metro Atlanta are from someplace else. As a matter of fact, many people I come into contact with always express extreme surprise when they meet someone who was actually born and raised in Atlanta. I suppose it could seem a bit strange that all the New Yorkers moving down for a little southern charm end up living in a city full of other New Yorkers.  I shouldn't talk because I'm one of them.  :)    I've probably run into people from New York here in Georgia that I didn't even run into while we were living in New York.  How crazy is that?  It seems like I've moved from one "melting pot" to another "melting pot."  I think I can scratch off just about every state in the US as far as the people that I've met here.

I guess all of that must mean that Atlanta, Georgia is a really nice place to call home.  Yeah... I think so.

Although I do not live in the City of Atlanta proper, I live in Metro Atlanta, and I have never lived outside of about a one-mile radius of where I live right now.

Seeing that us native Georgians are such a rarity, I guess there are only two things to say.

1. Howdy!

2. Do not complain. If it was any better where you came from you wouldn't have moved here. :-P

Venice - we're NOT from GA!  We'll be "up there" in about 10 days though!!  We rent a place from a guy in FL (go figure) who owns a home on Lake Seminole in Donalsonville, GA.  We're so hooked on fishing there and being in the middle of the woods we've actually considered buying investment property up there!  Isn't Conyers NE Georgia?  I know we're like minutes from the Georgia-Alabama-FL line where we stay.  It's also about 10 minutes from Seminole State Park.  **Does that tell you we're in the woods???  hahaha

Woods can be a good thing Susie.  :)   Yes, Conyers is NE.  I hope you enjoy your stay while you're here in GA.  (Hey... that rhymes!)   All kinds of talents are just pouring out of me.  :)

Hello from West Georgia.  I am one of those rare native Atlantans.  Born and raised and never left.  I love it.  But welcome to all that live here from other places.  We're glad to have you.  You'll be a Georgian in no time at all.
