Customer Service is probably not the first thing you think of when you start looking for a website, but you know its important. So many horror stories come down to a simple lack of support. The problem is every website provider out there claims to have great support that will never leave you hanging.

So, how can you tell which ones can back up those claims and which ones are going to disappoint?

Here are 3 Tricks that can help you identify the companies with a real “Commitment to Service”.

1.    Try calling their support team during normal business hours – A little hold time is fine, but if your wait starts to drag on that means there’s not enough people manning the call center. If you can’t find a support line at all… Warning! Certain kinds of questions can only be resolved over the phone.

2.    Check them out on Forums Like ActiveRain – It seem’s obvious but when a company has bad service Agents will talk about it right here. Also, if they have a blog that is great place to look.

3.    Check out the Better Business Bureau  - Most major website providers have a Grade on the Better Business Bureau website. The grade tends to take the long view of their history of support rather than just paying credence to isolated incidents.
