Sellers can disclose TMI when their house is being sold.

By
Industry Observer

Just a week ago I got a call from my clients who were moving into their new home and wanted to share a surprise they had discovered in their new home.  They were cleaning out the drawers in the bathroom and discovered the previous owners explicit photos of themselves, left there accidentally they assumed.

Home sweet home.

I asked what they were going to do with them and they replied they were going to send them to the seller's agent so they could be forwarded on to the ones they belonged to, as they sure did not want them.  After an embarrassed seller's Agent got them I am sure he had to make a decision he had never made before, contact the previous owners or just burn them.

Home Sweet Home

After much consideration, I imagine he will do the right thing, he is a very wise Broker.  Once I am sure he has recovered from the shock and stigma of what he has had to deal with, would love to ask him what he did but I am sure glad I was not in his shoes.

I'm surprised the buyers just didn't do that themselves. WOW, that is certianly something that I wouldn't want to see upon moving in to a new home.

Well, Steve.  I read the title and thought "How can a buyer possibly get to much informaton on a house they're spending so much money on."

Now I know!  That really is WTMI!
