Since everyone here is a cat lover, I'm betting that many also have favorite cat-related charities. I plan to donate a portion of all proceeds from my book, The Cat Lover's Book of Days: A year of cat history, lore, and laughter, to one or more worthy organizations. The problem I'm seeing is that most such groups are local, whereas I really would rather it be a national organization. And I want it to be specifically for the benefit of cats rather than all animals.
The book comes out in October and I plan to put a statement about the contribution in the introduction. Does anyone here have a suggestion about a national organization that would be a worthy choice? I need to come up with a solution in the next couple of weeks.
