Middletown Connecticut can be identified by five major sections, South Farms, Westfield, Westlake, Downtown, and the Northend. With the most rural, and diverse sections being the Westfield, and South Farm sections of town.  Of these two sections South Farms, Middletown, Connecticut is the most centrally located to major through-ways, shopping areas, as well as Downtown.

South Farms, Middletown, Connecticut is bordered by RT 9 & 155.  While this section of town has a very country atmosphere to it, you can be Downtown, grocery shopping, taking in a movie, or having your favorite fast food within 5 minutes.

While South Farms, Middletown, Connecticut is the home to several small farms that are still run by families that first started them, such as the Lee, Graves, Harris, and Brock families, it is also the home of three Planned Residential Communities with cluster housing.  Cedar Village which I wrote about yesterday, Sand Hill Road, and South Farms newest Planned Residential Community West Ridge Estates.  These Planned Residential Community are well placed among well established neighborhoods with much larger lots and various style homes.

All thought South Farms, Middletown, Connecticut has a very distinct New England look to it, it does have housing that you might not normally expect to see here, and would not see unless you take the time to tour this part of town.  When you drive through the South Farms, Middletown, Connecticut back roads you will not only see the expected typical New England Style Homes, but you will also see some very larger, more contemporary styles that attract those who are looking for upper end houses.

As you continue your drive through South Farms, Middletown, Connecticut you might also be surprised to see Apartment Complexes such as Woodbury Circle, and Summer Hill which are subsidized apartments for lower income families.  Both of these Apartment Complexes combined consist of over 300 units.

South Farms, Middletown, Connecticut even has its own Fire Department (shown above) that is supported by a separate Tax District which is separate from the town budget, and voted on only by South Farms residents.  For those interested in higher education South Farms, Middletown, Connecticut is the home of Middlesex Community College, where students can attend and receive an Associates Degree in Business, Marketing, Science, and Liberal Arts.

South Farms, Middletown, Connecticut has houses that will fit the income and living style of all home buyers.  Let me help you find a Realtor that will help you find that perfect house for you and your family, and to help you finance that perfect home with one of our many loan products.

You are incredible. This is a nice post and illustrates this part of Middletown, Connecticut so nicely.  Who would think you could live with cows and with civilization while only driving a short distance.

George,

Looks like a pretty good mix of old and contemporary that appeals to just about the whole range of home buyers.

George, and the point about smelling the cows? LOL, great post again. Are you sure you aren't a realtor? I think this is an awesome idea for mortgage people too, people need to start their search for a home with a mortgage person. I might get slapped around for saying that but it prevents so many heartaches if that is done first.

Awesome job Mr. Middletown! :D

GEORGE:  What a terrific post about where you have been living 28 years, Stability in a neighborhood sells properties. I have been in Lincoln for 36 years. Wow,  I love the towns like you that have the blend of the old with the new. Lincoln has homes that date back to early 1600s and yet there are new developments of contemporaries being built.

Esko yes it is.  I really enjoy living here.

Andrea, now you have gone and done it, you are going to be in the dog house with other Realtors for saying that ....... LOL

Kathleen, Lincoln, RI is a great town. I have up there several times and it is beautiful.
