Wyndhurst prides itself on being a close-knit community. Wyndhurst offers not only plenty of unique shopping venues like  but also friendly, convenient neighborhoods.

Nestled in Historic Lynchburg, Wyndhurst is a new community with an old-fashioned feel. Wyndhurst was designed around the idea of a time when life was simpler, when people knew their neighbors. Here, their vision of community comes to life, with well-built neighborhoods, unique, eclectic shops and restaurants and an emphasis on health.

Unlike so many new developments these days, Wyndhurst is designed around people instead of the automobile. Shopping, eating, exercising, and community options are all within walking distance. As a traditional development, Wyndhurst is designed to function like an older neighborhood, where friendships are easy to develop, and life feels simpler and uncluttered.

Wyndhurst is a version of a classic American small town, with its own neighborhoods, its own parks and its own town center. Almost everything will be within walking distance, and that's just what you'll see in Wyndhurst, people walking to the store, the park, church, the gym. It's simple: the more people walk around, the more they get to know each other. When people have front porches instead of back porches, they talk more. Neighbors become friends. And when things are close by, people have more time for themselves and their families

Within the community of Wyndhurst is a retirement community called the Summit.  A unique continuing-care retirement community, featuring garden homes and apartments that offer service and support to residents seeking an independent lifestyle

Hi Pat, I like the idea of Wyndhurst. It reminds me of where I did grow up and people sat of their front porches and said hello.  Where we live now, is very nice, but the homes are further apart and it is much harder to get to know your neighbors.  Good post about Wyndhurst, Pat!

Hi Mary-It is a community within a community. There is a lot of stuff here. Have a great night. :-)

Pat, Wyndhurst sounds like the town of Lewisburg. People walking in town, restaurants, shops, art galleries...great places to live.

Pat, Wyndhurst in Lynchbrug sounds like a wonderful and quaint community.  I hardly remember a time when everyone knew their neighbors but long for the old days....this place seems to have some very special qualities we have lost along the way!

Hi Pat, I love close knit communities that bring back that down home feel.  So few of them around anymore. Great post. Seems people are too busy today to know who lives around them.

Hi Carole-I know what you mean. That is definitely a rarity these days and kind of makes you sad. It most definitely does have a community feeling. :-)

Hi Kristen-I am doing well and thank you for the compliment. :-)

Hi Sandy-I do as well and also wish there were more of them. In the high tech world somethings have changed and not necessarily for the good. :-)
