Home Warranty Recommendation

By
Real Estate Agent with RealtyPath St. George 6286110-AB00

I rarely come across a business related to real estate that I am impressed with, but I did, and I wanted to mention it.  I'm not affiliated in any way with the company, and I'm not sure what States they cover my experience would be with them as a Utah Home Warranty Company.

I make sure to get a home warranty on EVERY home I sell.  Even if it means I pay for it myself, it's important to me to have it on there.  I'm usually loyal to a company that I select, but the company that I had been using offered very little in the way of customer service (in fact, they made it next to impossible for me to even place the order).

So, I decided to make a switch.  I placed an order with Landmark Home Warranty.  It was quick and easy, so I loved that!  Then, the other day I receive an email from them, it read:

Paula,

A claim has been opened for your customers, {client name here} on 2009-07-27.

Requested Services: Air Conditioning

Description: Today the air stopped working. The fan outside is not turning and he noticed some ice on one of the lines.

Resolution: Service Contractor has been dispatched.

Thank you for choosing Landmark Home Warranty.

I LOVE this idea!  So, I was able to use this as a wonderful chance to keep in contact with my client (which I am a firm believer in, it's just sometimes I forget to call as often as I could).  I called my client to ask how it went, and they rated the experience as a "10".  The A/C repair company arrived within an hour after the call (and at temps reaching over 100 this is very appreciated!!).  They fixed a component of the fan motor in the attic and charged them the $45 deductible.

I plan to use this company for any other transactions.  I think customer service is imperative in today's market, not only did this company go the extra mile, but they helped me to go that extra mile too!  Highly recommended for any of you looking for a great Utah Home Warranty Company  http://www.landmarkhw.com/

It sounds wonderful...I'm going to check out their site & see if it's available here in Oregon. I am also getting frustrated with warranty companies...thank you!

We get that same service from a couple of HW companies here in Texas.  It is a great way to let your clients know that even though the deal is complete, you are still there for them.

Paula,  I really like it when agents have a great experience and then take the time to tell the rest of us!

Paula, thanks for the heads-up. We have a couple home warranty companies in my area, and I've had good experiences with First American. I think one of the important things is finding a company with local reps, instead of only a nationwide call center.
