Wyndfall subdivision is a great little subdivision with affordable homes about ten minutes from Clayton, North Carolina. It features homes for sale from $130's to the $160's. There is a mixture of ranch style homes approximately 1300 square feet to two story traditionals at about 1550 square feet.
Most of the homes are on wooded acre lots, or just under an acre and there are some lots as big as four plus acres. Wyndfall subdivision is about ten years old,and there are maybe one or two lots left. The subdivision is in a growing area with close proximity to big towns like Clayton and Smithfield, it is also a mere thirty minutes to Raleigh, the Capital of North Carolina. With the new highways you can be at the Raleigh Durham International Airport and major commercial and shopping districts in thirty minutes or less.
The homes in Wyndfall typically have vinyl siding, a combination of hardwood floors and carpet, mostly three bedrooms, two bath, some have garages. The homes because of the price point and size of the lots have traditionally sold pretty quickly but the second half of 2008 we saw the pace slow a bit, however the first half of 2009 has seen the pace pick up again.
The area surrounding the subdivision is slowly giving way to development but still maintains that quiet country feel. There are tobacco and corn fields all around and local country stores and gas stations where the locals sit and discuss the world. In Clayton there are lots of options for grocery shopping and Smithfield boasts a huge outlet mall on Interstate 95.
Wyndfall is covered by the Johnston County School District and the schools are, Riverdell Elementary, Archer Lodge Middle and Clayton High School. With the growth in the area there are more schools being built nearby.
The major employers in the area are Caterpillar, Talecris, Johnston Health, and a little further away is Research Triangle Park, home to some of the major companies in the world.
