Reclaimed Boeing 727 Home...

By
Real Estate Agent with The Hogan Group at Keller Williams Realty

If you've watched Planet Green lately and especially Renovation Nation- you cant help but hear about reclaiming products for use in building. Basically its all about re-using existing resources so we're saving the energy, resources, etc that goes into the manufacture of new goods.

Well....here's an example of Extreme Reclaiming. Check out the story.

That is really cool, where is it located? Even has a great view we have a home here that looks like a space ship located on the beach.

Great idea and the reclaimed shipping containers are interesting too.

Thanks for posting this Mike. That's the coolest "tree house' I've ever seen.

I would totally live in something like that. Actually, the hubby & I have looked into shipping containers and reclaimed missle silo homes, but most of those are too far off the beaten path for us to drive to work easily.

I saw an episode on Renovation Nation- I think it was last year- about a couple that built a house of reclaimed shipping containers and trucks bodies. It's very cool stuff- its amazing how attractive you can make them. Who woulda thunk it?

Wow, 500/day isn't bad for a place that unique.  How many people can say they rented their own airplane for their vacation.  :)  I wonder what the square footage is...

Mike - That's really different. I have never seen a home like that. How do you get an appraisal on it.

Robert's question is a good one-- can you imagine trying to get an appraisal on that property right now? Anyone seen any real "comps" for this in the neighborhood?

Wow. Very cool. The wood and curvature of the rooms also gives it a ship-like look. If I'm ever in Costa Rica I will have to keep this in mind!

Funny- after I posted this- I saw this place on the Yahoo Front Page yesterday. This is a cool place- I'd love to try it.  I tried to get my wife to let me buy a plane so I could make my own....but she's no so cool with the idea...
