Illegal immigrants will overwhelm ObamaCare

Tell me, Jared:  What have you got against these people anyway?  It must be a generational thing. 

My generation will need these folks to pay our social security.

If you cant prove you are an American you should not be covered under this program. This is a mess waiting to happen.

We are the only country in the world that gives health care to illegal immigrants.

We are a loving and giving nation, not because we have to but because we can and want to.

I like Michelle she is not afraid to say what she has researched.

This was settled by the U.S. Supreme Court back in the 1970s.  Hospitals cannot deny health care to anyone. 

Show up at an emergency room and you will get health care. 

That's a tough one.. right someone shows up on the hospital door..how dow you turn that down.. at the same time around here, many illegals are using our emergency rooms as their Doctors office... going in for minor issues... (I worked in a hospital for 7 years, saw it all the time)

In truth, many American citizens are using our emergency rooms as their doctor's office.

What Obama is talking about...the immigrant issue to the side....is expanding the total amount of health care being provided in this country.

A lot is being said about controlling costs...but not a lot is actually being done about it.

To me it comes down to to supply and demand.   If you are going to increase the number of people covered...increasing demand, you have got to also increase supply.

So it looks like the only way to hold the price constant (and reduce the per unit cost)...is by increasing the number of doctors, nurses, and hospital beds  -- so that none of them cost/make as much as they do now.

NO ONE out there in politics is talking about doing that...therefore the problem is not going to really be "fixed".

Good points Jim.  It also comes down to the lack of supply.  We limit so extremely the ability of people to go into the medical profession, there simply will not be enough doctors nurses to go around.  There are two nursing colleges in my town, but for both you have to jump through hoops and give up your first born to get in.  There should be an easier way.

I traveled a lot and it is true that only this country 'care' this much about own people.
