Green tomato salsa

I couldn't wait fro enough tomatoes to ripen, so I made this sals from the grren ones. My husband liked it so much he said as far as he was concerned I could pick 'em all green.

4 or 5 green tomatoes
4 or 5 green onions
1 or more chili peppers (I used a red hot cherry)
juice of 1 or 2 limes
about a cup of cilantro, chopped
sprinkle of salt, chili powder, cumin
about a TBsp. of olive oil

Chop roughly and whir it all up in a food processor. That's it! All the "this or that" is because the recipe is so adaptable- if you like it hot use a jalapeno (or more than 1) if you don't use half of a mild chili. Adjust it all to taste. It is very fresh tasting and very pretty. We eat it with chips, on Mexican food, and I add it to all kinds of things.

Leslie - I'm on my way out to my garden right now.  I have plenty of green tomatoes out there, and I have all the other ingredients!  All I need are some corn chips:-)

My niece was just visiting and was in this hot salsa kick. So she tried to make all kinds.  This would have come in handy.
