Celebrate Germantown Event Scheduled for August 15
Celebrate Germantown! takes place on Saturday, August 15 from 2 to 8 p.m. in the Germantown Town Center located at 12901 Town Commons Drive. The free, outdoor event is designed as a community celebration that brings together residents and businesses for an afternoon of entertainment and activities.
Events include the BlackRock Center for the Arts Blast Off featuring sample classes, a gallery exhibit and arts activities; retail stores sidewalk displays; food vendors; karate demonstrations; childrens' activities; and a concert starting at 7 p.m. on the BlackRock outdoor stage with Cathy Fink & Marcy Marxer.
The event is co-sponsored by the Upcounty Regional Services Center, BlackRock Center for the Arts, the Germantown Business Consortium and the Germantown Positive Youth Initiative.
