I love to walk the beach in the morning from my home in Pelican Bay. Pelican Bay has over two thousand acres of land, there are over 8000 residences, consisting of single family homes, villas, coach homes and mid rise and high rises.
Much of Southwest Florida is developed near the water. Condos and high-rises sit right on the Gulf of Mexico Most people want a view of the sunset and sunrise. Only problem is, you have these large high-rises right on the beach and lots of people.
However, Pelican Bay homes and condos are set back from the water to keep the beach natural. Many mornings when I walk, I am the only one on the beach. And this is right in the middle of Naples.
Well one morning I walked out to the beach via the boardwalk and when I got to the beach I spotted the most magnificent sand castle. I rushed home to take a picture. Someone had a birthday party the night before and had a professional build this castle on the beach. Isn't it spectacular?
Living in Southwest Florida is like living in fairyland.
