Have YOU read the Health Care Bill?

By
Managing Real Estate Broker with Windermere Peninsula Properties

I am not one just to take someones word for it. I have to see it for myself. So if you are like me here is a link to the Health Care Bill that is getting so much coverage lately.

Where the First Congress met

I was surprised to find that it was an easy read. I plan on looking through this tonight when I get home. So even if those in Congress who represent me have not found an opportunity to read the Bill I will be up to speed.

If you do have a chance to read through this let me know your thoughts. This will effect all of us in some way.

I did two blog post on 2009 Health Care Reform HR:3200, and got 1300 clicks.  We are reading it and don't like what we read.

Dinah - OK, I'll read the thing.  Its a monster for sure but then again, so is my home owners policy and that's not trying to change an unsustainable entrenched system.

Dinah,

According to John Conyers, one of the ruling politburo members in Leningrad Washington, D.C., the bill is so complex that he needs several days and two attorneys to read it.  Thanks for the link I'll check it out.

I have not read it yet, I'm not sure that I will.  It appears that this thing still has a long ways to go until it will come to a vote.

Dinah, I've read parts of it and I don't like what I've read so far. There's actually a blog in my drafts that I dare not publish.

I have read a bunch of it. Dinah, I know all I need to know about how it would work. Example 1.) The bank bailout and how it was handled. 2.) the CARS program being shut down after less than 10 days because they under estimated how it would work.

That would be great laying there on the operating table and oops they under estimated how the program would work.

No Thanks.

From all that I have read as of last night. I am not very confident that it will do me or anyone else any good. This includes those currently without health care. It is a false sense of security that will lead to a hefty fall. I keep rereading lines because I can not believe my eyes!-Dinah Lee

There seems to be more at stake than providing care to the American citizens.  Why is it being pushed so hard and fast?  Why are there so many unanswered questions?  Thanks for the link - I think I'll sell something with my time so I can pay my medical insurance.

I think it is being rushed Jim because supporters know what will happen if they wait like last time when Hillary Clinton was leading the charge on healthcare.  The more time it takes, the more time the healthcare industy has to scare people with ads saying it is a communist takeover.  Let's face it, the healthcare industy will do anything they can to keep people from having a choice which translates into lower profits for them.

I still don't see where the supposed Death camps for Seniors are in this bill. Maybe I am not reading enough between the lines???

Hey, Betina - There are no death camps, no death panels, no pulling the plug on Grandma. Imagine if there was. Congress would have to be a congressional exemption in the bill since almost all of them are old enough to be put in front of the death panel, sent to death camps, and have the plug pulled.

I read the bill and had no trouble reading it or comprehending it. Of course, I speak, read, and write English as my primary language -- LOL.
