GUILTY...

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Residential

OF MISSING BUSINESS ! Are you responding to the Realtors that are looking for agents in your area that want to work with buyers?

I am an example of being guilty of ignoring many of my e-mails and just hitting the delete button while "thinking" I am too busy to READ something  that may only cost me time and be deleted anyway after reading.  Without opening, who am I to judge  the importance of another person's e-mail or what it may cost me in future business if I choose to ignore it?

Just one week ago today I received a message in my e-mail from a particiating Active Rain agent in need of help...  and yesterday (perhaps because I responded quickly!) I had a fully executed contract and an extremely happy buyer returning to Illinois knowing that when they return to SW Florida it will be to a home of their own!  Even though they quickly learned that the era of our $50,000 NEW homes in good locations and without hidden issues has either never been there nor exists any longer, they were encouraged with what they saw and welcomed the opportunity to buy while the buying opportunity is not only good - but GREAT ! This was a lesson for me and an opportunity to make a sale I would not otherwise have had while showing me the importance of paying attention to something that I believed had value enough to join in the first place.

The situation brought to mind the very old saying said by someone much smarter than I that went something like "when the student is ready the teacher will appear" . May be old but still applies in 2009.  I am happy to be not only a student...  but one that is ready to show up for class!  We really never do know when or where our next listing or sale will appear.

Wishing all of us a great "rest of" the year!  We are more than 1/2 way there!  Have your goals exceeded or met  their "more than"  half-way mark?

I have had the pleasure of working with Angeline on a number of deals and she's been fabulous to work with.  She's straight-forward and goes out of her way to help you. She's gone the extra mile each time.  I appreciate her assistance, her professional advice and her help in dealing with the closing agents, etc.  I would recommend Angeline to friends and family and am sure you will be a satisfied customer for life! Her decades of experience and help are a great asset for all her customers.

THANKS ANGELINE!

Yes, I am guilty as charged for writing about both of you today. Angeline for doing what she does best and taking care of her clients, and Ruby for her request to make Angeline's quality of service known to others. Both are to be commended for a job well done. :-)
