Tips for Cleaning the Kitchen - Spills, Drips and Drains

How to Clean the MicrowaveHow to Clean the Microwave - Place two halves of a lemon on a plate, cut side down. Add a few drops of water and microwave on high for one minute. Now the mess is easy to wipe down!

How to Clear a Slow Drain - Pour half a cup of baking soda down the drain in question. Add half a cup of white vinegar and cover the drain. The mixture will foam for a bit and after a few minutes follow it up with eight cups of boiling water to flush it. Use this method on it's own - don't follow up or use this after any commercial cleaner.

How to Clean your Coffee Maker - Instead of buying chemicals to rinse through your coffee maker (yuck!), clean it every other week by filling the water reservoir with equal parts white vinegar and water and set to brew. Follow this up with fresh water for three brew cycles to flush it out.

How to Clean the Oven - If you don't have a self-cleaning oven, take the racks out of your oven and soak them in the bathtub with half a cup of dishwashing detergent and cover and several inches of warm water. Let them soak for 45 minutes and then dry.

None of these help? Call me, and we'll find you a new kitchen! :)

I like your suggestions for cleaning without chemicals.  And, I think I liked your final comment even better.
