Yes, it's very scary ...

Yes, business isn't easy right now.  And it might even get tougher before it gets better.  But, one thing is
for sure ...

... business is still going on today.

Here's something you have to keep in front of you and read every day:

In general, buyers and sellers don't make decisions about buying or selling a home based on what's going on in the current real estate market or even on interest rates.

What makes them decide to buy or sell?

99% of the time their decision is based on what is happening in their life - like...

~ A change in family size.
~ Job transfer.
~ Death in the family.
~ A divorce.
~ Changes in their business - for the good or the bad.

As you can see, there is still business out there.  So just pick yourself up, brush yourself off, and get back to work.

As much as you may not want to hear this, you may have to double your efforts and work harder.  If you do, you'll be well-positioned when the market turns around.

George - That is sound advice. There is always business, you just have to be diligent about finding it on a daily basis.

George, this can be a pretty scary way to earn a living!  And you are so right - people are out there doing business.  I just need to make sure that I am one of those people!

George you are right about the business being out there. It becomes a matter of how to get the best exposure so that the buyers know where to go to get the right information. It's been said that 80% of the business in real estate is done by 20% of licensed agents. Being active and informative is how one can be one of the 20%'ers.

George, I like the way you put it.. it really is about them.  The buyers and sellers, what is happening in their lives that creates a need for change.  Great viewpoint.

George, very good point. Life situations often dictate a buying decision in any market.

Things are always changing and if you aren't willing to change with them you will lose. Now, as for what you are talking about with sellers always selling... This is why I write so many blogs on so many different topics, you never know when one person will be searching for that one topic and need your services.

George, it is scary, and there's a lot of business going on.  The trick is to make sure that the people out there who do want to buy and sell are doing it with moi!  Besides, this business is constantly changing and shifting around.  You have to stay agile.

The real estate business has been booming out here. Sales have been up for 13 consecutive months, and prices have been up or the same for 7 consecutive months. I expect August to make it 14 and 8.
