Vendors preying on Realtors

By
Real Estate Agent with Utopia Management
Have you come across vendors who charge us more money becaus they know we are Realtors?  Isn't that unfair?  To add to that, they are not providing the service or quality they claim to have.

I haven't come across that yet.  I suggest everyone budget for their real estate career and get multiple bids on items that require an investment.

We all just have to get multiple bids and be careful to check references and such.

There is an old saying and it applies to Realtors as much as anyone else: "Let the buyer beware."  There will always be someone out there trying to get into your wallet.

I always check with other agents and the internet . Now if you are looking for a vendor, you could just post on AR and you will get a lot of good recommendations.I was looking for football schedules and I got a couple of suggestions.

Susan I can't imagine that happening.   Who has charged you more in the past?  If not who..what type of product were they selling?

Unfortunately, there are people in every line of work who attempt to prey on others.  I'm sorry to hear that you have come across one.

I feel that way across the board, not just with vendors.  When someone hears that you're a Realtor, they automatically think $$$.  The thought is always on my mind.

next time your shopping for something tell the person your the purchasing agent for a large Real Estate firm and will be ordering a small amount to start with to see how good the product is. That should help
