Commitment To Excellence Is More Than A Buzz Phrase

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty 0575737

Trophy CupIn interacting with other real estate agents it does amaze me some days how a handful of them are going through the motions. It made me think that

Commitment To Excellence Is More Than A Buzz Phrase.

I used to work for a company that their service mark was "commitment to excellence." I have seen banners where the Oakland Raiders play football with that motto.

Some in life, not only Realtors of course, but anyone, with work and their effort just seem like they are "going through the motions." It seems there is a lack of dedication, and to "excelling" in what they are doing. We are not called to exist in life but to grow and shine. What is the point in going through the motions at some average state when you have so much more potential? I don't think anyone ought to strive for perfection, and be a madman or madwoman about it. But excellence can be achieved in much of what you do with working smart, discipline, and focus.

Do not be a floundering Phil or Phyllis in life. Go for the gold! That's why they hand those babies out. They are just waiting to found out if YOU are one with the "RIGHT STUFF."

Gary, I would bet that they're clients pick up on the fact that someone is "just doing their job."  I have to wonder how many referrals they would get after their work is over.  I think many of us go well above and beyond our clients expectations--at least I hope so.

Hi Gary...Interesting....Maybe it is me...maybe it is my market..maybe it is the sign of the times....but I find  SOME  sellers and buyers expect    beyond

Excellence and Dedication in their Realtors.

I am not saying they receive that level of service from all agents... but lately the consumer  demands are a little extreme  ( in some instances )

I hear agents on the brink of tears over a sellers rant because of no showings on a house ,  yet will not even consider a price reduction because their 850 sq ft house with 2 bedrooms and 1 bath is worth as much as the neighbors 1500 sq ft 3 bedroom 2 bath ...

. or the buyer who decides they want to see 20 houses each day until they see every 500 houses on the market

It is no wonder how only the strong survive in this market.  I can see how agents can get beaten down by the demands of the uncaring -un appreciative consumer. Thank God there is a balance because there are those consumers that put a value and appreciation to how we service their needs and it is to them we owe thanks...not only because we have a job,

( some have no jobs )   but because it inspires and motivates us to continue toward Excellence and dedication in our profession.
