Do Open houses sell Houses in Salem, Oregon? You've hired a Broker now they are asking you to leave your home in the hands of a Realtor. The Broker is in your home while strangers walk into your home and view it so they can possibly buy the home. So the question does an open house really sell your home? Is it worth the time that it takes you to get your home in order? Are you ready for the strangers to walk through your home? What is your opinion? Are you a for sale by owner who does their own open houses? Have you had good results from doing your own open house? Let me know I'm wondering what the opinion is regarding this matter here in Salem, Oregon. What do you do to get ready for the open house?

Yikes! I don't think you want to know the extremes I'll go to to prepare for an open house! I've mowed neighbor's lawns, swept the street, opened all the windows to bring in fresh air, cleaned every inch - even the tracks of windows and insides of drawers. And yes - some of the houses we've had listed HAVE sold as a result of the buyers that came to the open house! Good for you April for doing them - I know they are time consuming!
