Bicycles everywhere! On Wednesday, June 27, 2007 cyclists of all shapes and sizes will leave their cars at home and ride their bikes to work as part of the Bike to Work Day event sponsored by the City of Loveland.  Improvements this year include free plastic water bottles with event logo for all participants plus food provided by Schmitt's Bakery and Antonio's Burritos at multiple stations.

Why use a bicycle to get around?  Save money on gas!  Get healthier, burn calories, reduce stress, preserve air quality and reduce traffic congestion.   Check out this page for other events offered during bike month.

"Street Smarts" - Bike safety clinic

Just in time for Bike to Work Day, the City of Loveland and PEDAL have teamed up to offer a clinic designed to help drivers make the transition to safe and comfortable commuting by bicycle in Loveland. Riders planning to bike to work should attend!

June 18, 6:30 p.m. at 7 Lakes Park:  Presentations on Loveland's bike trails and on-street routes, riding safety and comfort, and logistical tips and tricks.  A short group ride will demonstrate safe techniques including use of left turn lanes and even roundabouts.  Technicians will be available for bike safety checks and adjustments.  Representatives from the City's Police and Public Works (Traffic) departments, PEDAL, and local bike shops will be on hand to answer questions.
