The flagship of all parks in the City of Ellensburg is Irene Rinehart Riverfront Park. Known by locals as Carey Lake, the 117 acre facility is very popular in summer time as a good place to cool off in one of the lakes, and for its family friendly atmosphere. Follow Unptanum Rd. west from Canyon Rd about 1.5 miles, follow blacktop drive approximately 3/4 of a mile to parking lot.

Memorial Park is home to the City of Ellensburg swimming pool. At Rodeo time the park serves as home to the carnival rides in cooperation with Kittitas County Fair and Rodeo.

Rotary Park is a 72 acre park in the City of Ellensburg. A lot of hard work went into the making of the park by those interested in ball fields. The park boasts 4 youth fields, 2 full size softball fields and 2 full size baseball fields. Along with baseball the park is used for soccer and those who wish to make use of the walking trails.

Lion's Mountain View park in Ellensburg is a classic neighborhood park. There are grand tall trees and covered picnic area, along with toys and a little league baseball feild and soccer fields cover the 8 acre park.
There is a well used soccer field at Mountain View Park in Ellensburg. A unique addition to the park is a Roller Hockey Rink. Kiwanis Park in Ellensburg is a mature neighborhood park. A great picnic area and toys, along with a youth league baseball field grace the 4 acre park. A nice creek runs through the park, ample parking for a family gathering is provided by the City of Ellensburg. The park is located at at the corner of 14th and Main Street.
McElroy Park in Ellensburg is a neighborhood park near Central Washington University. McElroy park is a nice place to throw a Frisbee around or play a game of catch. There are walking trails, picnic area and a pond too. Travel north on Brooklane and turn into the parking area just before Brooklane Village. Reed Park in Ellensburg is located at the top of Craig's Hill, near the water tower. You can take in spectacular views of the Ellensburg Rodeo grounds and all of Ellensburg from the hill-top location. The park is 4 acres and features picnic area and beautiful landscape. The address for Reed Park is 1200 E. 5th.
Kleinberg Park in Ellensburg is one of Ellensburg's smallest parks. The park is located at the west end of Third Ave near the old train station. There is a caboose train car in the park that most Ellensburg residents do not even know about. Take a look at the next picture of the train car, it is quite nice.
It would be worth a trip to Klienberg Park in Ellensburg to check out the old caboose. Grab a box lunch and enjoy one of the out-of-the-way parks in Ellensburg. Just follow 3rd Ave to the west all the way to the train station.

Not pictured is the Ellensburg Racquet's and Recreation facility. You can play tennis indoors on one of the 4 tennis courts or play racket ball of handball in one of the racket ball courts.
