A Core Value - Pass It On

Progress is a wonderful thing in many cases and it is good to leave some things in the past. Take for example how I'm writing this blog. In the olden days I would be writing with a pen and paper, later a typewriter, now the computer, where I can save my work and have a "program" check my spelling. There are some things that never go out of style and one of those is respect for all people, especially those that are older.

Showing respect speaks volumes about who you are what values you possess. The great Jackie Robinson said, "I'm not concerned with your liking or disliking me...all I ask that you respect me as a human being." Respect is a core value and hopefully is practiced by everyone, even the "me" generation. If you have respect, show it and pass it on.

Others should always be treated with dignity and respect.  That was a key phrase used in my former corporate life and it served me well.

Richard, that was a terrific key phrase they had and hopefully all the employee's followed it. Thanks for the endorsement and I'm glad it has served you well.

Harry, I appreciate your taking time to respond as I believe in this core value so much.
